    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide an electrical discharge surface treatment-purpose electrode that stabilizes properties and a film-forming rate of a coating made by surface treatment that uses the electrode showing a narrow distribution in physical properties such as a composition and resistance. A method of manufacturing an electrical discharge surface treatment-purpose electrode according to the present invention is identified as a method of manufacturing an electrical discharge surface treatment-purpose electrode formed of a green compact made of a metal powder subjected to compression molding, characterized in that the method includes the step of forming a nitride coating by nitriding a surface of the metal powder, and the step of forming a green compact by subjecting the metal powder having its surface nitrided to compression molding.
