摘要： The CPU of the image forming apparatus sets up an ADF reading magnification in the ADF driving unit including the motor and the motor driver referring to the first magnification conversion table in the memory of the system unit when reading a document image while a document is being moved. Further, the reading magnification that is also in the ADF driving unit is also set in the specific document detection unit. The specific document detection unit makes the pattern matching as to whether the read image data is that of a specific document using the magnification dictionary (specific image data) that is set and outputs a detection signal as the result of the matching to the CPU. As that time, the CPU controls the output of the applicable read image data by a printer according to the detection signal.

When the thermostat 54 operates, a conduction path to an excitation coil 91 of a relay 90 is cut off so that a normally open contact 92 of the relay 90 can be operated. When the normally open contact 92 operates, the supply path of a drive signal supplied from a frequency variable oscillator 81 to a transistor 63 is cut off. By the cut-off, a high-frequency current does not flow through coils 14a to 14c; therefore, induction heating with respect to the heat roller 12 is stopped.

摘要： An image forming apparatus includes an image carrier on which a static latent image is formed, a main charger to charge the image carrier, an operating portion to direct the output adjustment of the main charger, and a developing device to develop a static latent image by applying developer to it. Further, an image forming apparatus has a charge eliminator arranged between the main charger and the developing device along the rotating direction of the image carrier to fully remove the charge applied to the image carrier through the exposure when the output adjustment of the main charger is directed by the operating portion, and also has a detector to detect the current flowing into the image carrier when the image carrier is charged by the main charger after the output adjustment of the main charger is directed. The detected output of the detector is compared with a reference value, a control value corresponding to an error with the reference value is generated and voltage corresponding to this generated control value is supplied to the main charger.

Further, the number of times the document size key was operated is counted, and a partial erase pattern is selected based on the number of times the was operated. Thus, a specific partially erased image is achieved by a simple operation.
