    摘要： A tourniquet system, having at least one circumferential enclosed channel formed in a garment; a tourniquet band positioned in the at least one circumferential enclosed channel; a tightening and securing mechanism associated with the tourniquet band, wherein the tightening and securing mechanism includes two or more apertures formed therethrough, and wherein at least a portion of the tourniquet band loops through the apertures of the tightening and securing mechanism, such that when the tightening and securing mechanism is turned, a diameter of the tourniquet band is decreased and a tourniquet force is applied to an inside wall of the circumferential enclosed channel; and at least one portal in the garment, proximate the circumferential enclosed channel, to provide access to the tightening and securing mechanism.

    摘要： A tourniquet system including a band, an optional bar, and an anti-pinch plate. The bar comprises an elongate portion of material having a first end portion, an intermediate portion, and a second end portion, at least one aperture formed in the bar so as to accept the band and allow the band to pass therethrough, at least one locking protrusion that extends from at least one of the first end portion or the second end portion. The anti-pinch plate includes one or more band receiving apertures formed so as to accept the band and allow the band to pass therethrough, wherein the anti-pinch plate includes one or more locking notches formed substantially along an edge portion of the anti-pinch plate, wherein the locking notches provide a means for securing at least a portion of the bar to the anti-pinch plate.

    摘要： A unitary furnace through which air is circulated for heating purposes is disclosed. A blower forces air through a number of heat exchange tubes horizontally positioned within the combustion chamber for space heating purposes. Another blower is provided for the delivery of air to the burning material disposed upon a fuel support frame within the combustion chamber through an air distribution manifold. The manifold is fitted within the combustion chamber and has a number of air discharge openings positioned above and below the fuel support frame. These openings are oriented and arranged to direct the air passing therethrough generally inwardly toward the fuel on the fuel support frame. An electrical circuit including temperature sensors is provided for regulating air flow from each of the two blowers. One sensor is positioned in the furnace flue outlet and the other sensor is positioned exteriorly of the furnace in the space to be heated.

    摘要： An internal tourniquet system may comprise as many as eight tourniquets strategically positioned, two per extremity, so as to optimize the inversely proportional relationship between the force applied to the tourniquet and the blood flow from the laceration on the extremity farther from the body than the positioned tourniquet. Each garment is equipped with internal channels to position the tourniquets and each garment is equipped with removable covering flaps for ease of access to the tightening and securing mechanism on the tourniquets. Each garment may also be supplied with a lever or bar and a storage location on the garment in order to apply more torque if necessary to the tourniquet banded site. And each garment may also be supplied with such flaps that are able to secure the lever or bar in position, once to blood flow has ceased to an acceptable level.
