摘要： A composition adapted to be applied on a mechanical piece or assembly to form a temporary protective fibre or coating contains an elastomer, a filler and an anionic surface active agent the presence of which enables the film or coating to be readily removed from the piece or assembly when required. There may be one or a plurality of plastomers also present while the filler preferably ranges from 50 to 100% of the polymer. Silica is a specified filler, the butyl ester of sulphonated ricinoleic acid and oleic acid sulphonate specified surface active agents and polychloroprene, polyisobutylene and natural rubber the specified elastomers. Zinc oxide may also be present.
