摘要： A process for the production of amides utilizing microorganisms is described, which comprises subjecting nitriles having from 2 to 6 carbon atoms to the action of a microorganism belonging to the genus Rhodococcus, and genus Arthrobacter or the genus Microbacterium having an ability to hydrate the nitriles to form the corresponding amides in an aqueous medium.
