Abstract:
An apparatus comprises a moving arrangement for supporting and moving along an advance direction a plurality of articles; and orienting units movable along said advance direction and such as to contact and orient the articles by displacing angularly each article around an axis thereof so as to position the articles in respective output positions, the orienting units being such as to maintain the articles in contact with the moving arrangement, a detector being provided for each orienting unit for detecting an initial angular position of a respective article associated thereto and for promoting a desired angular displacement such that each article is brought in the output position.

Abstract:
Bottles fed continuously to a wrapping line are ordered into groups by a device comprising a conveyor belt positioned downstream of a feed station from which the bottles emerge, and a separating system, operating in conjunction with the conveyor belt, by which the advancing bottles are divided into groups before passing forward to the wrapping stations. The separating action is performed by first and second flexible bands looped around respective pulleys within vertical planes, using sets of first and second locating elements anchored respectively to the first and to the second flexible band, which are brought to bear alongside and at right angles to the conveyor belt so as to engage in contact with the bottles. The first and second locating elements are anchored removably to the relative flexible bands utilizing respective sets of attachment devices, designed in such a way that the number and mutual positioning of the elements can be varied according to the size of the bottles and the number of bottles making up the single group.
Abstract:
Groups of products are wrapped in heat-shrinkable film by equipment comprising a first surface along which products advance in a conveying direction, and a second surface on which the products are ordered into groups and wrapped in a sheet of film cut to a length suitable for the size of the group of products being wrapped and supplied by a feed unit positioned beneath and in close proximity to a slot separating the first surface from the second surface. The feed unit operates in conjunction with a wrapping unit incorporating at least one cross rail that serves to carry and guide the sheet of film, cantilevered from a single power driven arm located close to one side of the second surface, and an adjustment mechanism governing the position of the arm, such as will enable the rail to orbit through a first active trajectory above the second surface and a second return trajectory below the second surface, describing a curved path of which the distance from the second surface is variable and selectable according to the dimensions of the groups of products being wrapped.
