Abstract: A method and system for identifying documents relevant to a query that specifies a part of speech is provided. A retrieval system receives from a user an input query that includes a word and a part of speech. Upon receiving an input query that includes a word and a part of speech, the retrieval system identifies documents with a sentence that includes that word collocated with a word that is used as that part of speech. The retrieval system displays to the user an indication of the identified documents.

Abstract: The claimed subject matter provides systems and/or techniques that effectuate combining domain-tuned search systems. The system can include mechanisms that obtain queries, written descriptions, or illustrative web-pages regarding a particular area of interest, and generate a definition related to the area of interest. The definition contains a list of paths with associated weights employed to identify an pre-established first domain-tuned search system related to the area of interest. Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for detecting a quick response (QR) code. An area of an image comprising a QR code is localized by combining pixel dynamic scale (DS), black-cell ratio (BR), and edge intensity sum (EIS) criteria determination to identify the QR code. A pattern for the QR code is detected, comprising determining if a position detection pattern (PDP) is located in respective grid areas of a first grid that comprises the QR code, and identifying an alignment pattern (AP), if present. To identify the AP, an AP region is estimated using the PDPs, and a center area of the AP is found by examining respective areas of a second grid comprising the estimated AP region.

Abstract: Described is a technology in which a two-dimensional barcode symbol (e.g., a QR Code®) is located within an image by looking for angular signatures that indicate a high density of generally vertical and/or horizontal angles. An image is divided into blocks of pixels. Angles are associated with each pixel, forming an angular signature for the block based on how many pixels are associated with each angle. The angular signatures indicate which blocks have pixels associated with mostly generally vertical and/or horizontal angles. A region with the largest number of blocks having such angular signatures is determined, and a bounding box for the barcode symbol grown from that region block by evaluating nearby blocks to find the outermost blocks that contain the barcode symbol.

Abstract: A method and system for combining tabs of a tabbed document interface (“TDI”) is provided. A combinable TDI system allows tabs of a TDI to be combined to form a single tab of the TDI. To combine tabs, the combinable TDI system generates a combined tab name from the tab names of the tabs to be combined and combined tab content from the content of the tabs to be combined. If the width of the content is greater than what can be currently displayed in the window, the combinable TDI system may add a scroll bar to the TDI so that the user can scroll and make visible portions of the content that were previously not visible. The combinable TDI system then displays the combined tab and removes the tabs that have been combined. The combinable TDI system may also allow a user to split a combined tab into separate tabs.
