摘要： The present invention provides an improved printer and recording device having an improved design for providing efficient operation and improved print and recording speed to one or more storage devices. In one aspect, the present invention meets the above needs by providing a printer having printing means adapted to operate independently from a transportation mechanism of a storage device. In another aspect, the present invention provides a printer having one or more removable cartridges for the supply and/or removal of completed storage devices from the print device. In yet another aspect, the present invention provides a new and improved engaging feature, of the transportation mechanism, for the selection and transportation of the storage device through the recording and/or printing process of the storage device.
