Abstract:
A software application to generate a Precision Fires Image (PFI) which provides a precision targeting coordinate to guide an air launched weapon using a forward deployed hand held hardware device executing the PFI software application. Suitable hardware devices to execute the PFI software application include the Windows CE handheld and the Army Pocket Forward Entry Device (PFED). Precision targeting coordinates derived from the PFI software application are compatible with most military target planning and weapon delivery systems.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method of annotating an electronic document may include receiving annotation information corresponding to a first electronic document file and creating annotation metadata that is associated with the annotation information. The method may further include storing the annotation information and associated annotation metadata in an annotation file that is separate from the first electronic document file, and anchoring the annotation information to a target electronic document file at an anchor location corresponding to the annotation metadata. The annotation metadata may be generated by assigning a target offset value to individual neighboring tokens defining an annotation neighborhood, wherein the target offset values correspond to positions of the neighboring tokens with respect to an annotation location within the first electronic document file. The annotation metadata may also comprise topographic patterns that are compared between source and target documents to determine the anchor location.

Abstract:
A postcard includes a generally planar body having a front face and a rear face together defining an interior adapted to receive and hold a photographic print. A windowpane can be disposed between the front and rear faces to protect the photograph from the environment. The rear face has a greeting area, an address area, a postage area, and a stand extendible from the greeting area and operable to permit the postcard to be stood on its side without obstructing the greeting area. The front face has a removable part for keeping the photograph hidden from view until a user removes the part. The removable part is connected to the front body in a breakable connection and, when removed, can form an advertisement, a coupon, and/or a single-sheet postcard. A perfume sample holding device can be connected to any part of the postcard.

Abstract:
A loading apparatus for a vehicle, the apparatus having a first frame, a second frame having a chain mounted thereupon; and a locking system that is mounted on the first frame. The locking system has a drive wheel, a first arm member and a second arm member. The system is configured such that in a generally closed position, the chain engages the drive wheel in a first position, the drive wheel is connected to the arms; the arms are urged into the closed position. In a generally open position, the chain engages the drive wheel in a second position and the arms are urged into the open position by the second frame.
