    摘要: A system and drive arrangement for using fuser temperature cycling to change rotational position of a fuser roller wiper includes a frame, a hot roll, a fuser roller, and a drive arrangement. The frame of the fuser unit has side panels spaced apart from one another and positioned alongside a media path through the fuser unit. The hot roll on the fuser unit is rotatably mounted to the side panels of the frame and extends between the side panels across the media path. The fuser roller wiper is rotatably mounted between the side panels of the frame and performs a wiping action on the hot roll to remove foreign matter therefrom and supply of lubricant thereto. The drive arrangement is coupled to the fuser roller wiper and is operable in response to decrease in temperature of the fuser unit to rotate the fuser roller wiper.

The fuser detack mechanism includes a detack housing pivotably mounted to the fuser housing. The fuser detack mechanism is pivoted from a first position to a second position when the actuator mechanism is actuated. A plurality of detack fingers is mounted to the detack housing. Each of the plurality of detack fingers has a distal end, wherein when the fuser detack mechanism is in the first position, the distal end of each of the plurality of detack fingers is positioned to be disengaged from an exterior surface of the fuser roller, and when the fuser detack mechanism is in the second position, the distal end of each of the plurality of detack fingers is positioned to be engaged with the exterior surface of the fuser roller.

    摘要: A system and method are disclosed for using gas detection techniques to determine if a room is vacant or occupied, and to activate, dim or deactivate lighting based on a detected occupancy status. The system and method may monitor a concentration of a first gas using a gas sensor such as a CO2 sensor. The space may also be monitored using second and third sensors, and a vacancy status of the space may be based on the concentration of the first gas and information from the second and third sensors. The second and third sensors can be passive infrared sensors, ultrasonic sensors, gas sensors, microwave sensors, audio sensors, or video sensors. An electrical load associated with the space may be controlled based on the determined occupancy/vacancy status. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

    摘要: Document comparisons can be performed at a semantic level by utilizing a rules base in which groups of rules are applied sequentially. In one implementation, (1) syntactic rules are applied to a document to form a tagged sequence in which individual words are tagged with their syntactic categories, (2) ambiguity rules are applied to the tagged sequence to resolve ambiguities, thereby providing a resolved tag sequence, (3) grammar rules are applied to the resolved tagged sequence to determine semantic roles of individual tagged words, thereby providing a role-specific resolved tagged sequence, and (4) property rules are applied to match properties (e.g., adjectives) with the words they modify, thereby providing a semantic feature structure. The semantic feature structure is then compared to at least one other structure.
