摘要： A method and apparatus is described to convert DTMF packets at a network node in an IP network. The method may comprise receiving an Internet Protocol (IP) packet at the network node connected via a first IP network link to a first network device, and connected via a second IP network link to a second network device. The method may determine a first DTMF packet format for the first IP network link and a second DTMF packet format for the second IP network link and detect that only one of the first or second DTMF packet formats is in-band voice DTMF. Thereafter, the method may convert the received IP packet from the first DTMF packet format to the second DTMF packet format.
