摘要: Conditioning of a sample of the cracked-gas effluent from a cracking furnace is accomplished by contacting the sample under suitable conditions with a suitable hydrocarbon absorbent in such a manner that the heavier components in the cracked-gas sample are absorbed. The rate at which the sample is contacted with the suitable hydrocarbon absorbent is controlled so as to maintain a desired composition of the conditioned sample.

摘要: Catalytic regenerators, nozzle designs and processes suitable for introducing regeneration air into a catalytic cracking unit which substantially reduce erosion induced nozzle failures include a plurality of nozzle elements having a roughness defined upon the outside surface of said nozzle elements so as to reduce erosion due to the impact of fluidized catalyst particles within the catalytic regenerator.
