    摘要: Communication between first (38, 40 or 42) and second (38, 40 or 42) portable radiotelephone transceivers is provided in a radiotelephone communication system by generating a paging message (500-512) in response to the first transceiver (38, 40 or 42) registering with a first telepoint base station (32, 34 or 36). The paging message (500-512) is directed to the second transceiver (38, 40 or 42) for which communication is requested, and identifies the first telepoint base station (32, 34 or 36) and the first transceiver (38, 40 or 42). Upon receiving the paging message (500-512), the second transceiver (38, 40 or 42) registers with a second telepoint base station (32, 34 or 36), downloading the information identifying the first telepoint base station (32, 34 or 36) and the first transceiver (38, 40 or 42). The second telepoint base station (32, 34 or 36) establishes communication with the first telepoint base station (32, 34 or 36), after which the first telepoint base station (32, 34 or 36) requests registration of the first transceiver (38, 40 or 42) to complete the communication between first (38, 40 or 42) and second (38, 40 or 42) transceivers.

    摘要: This radio communication system includes a plurality of remote base stations or callpoints. When an incoming call is to be directed to a cordless telephone, the identifying information for the cordless telephone, along with a call back number or ID is transmitted as by a paging signal by a PABX. Each of the base stations includes a paging receiver for receiving the information. If the base station has a line available it initiates a call to the cordless telephone. A base station that locates the cordless telephone would provide the connection for the call. By calling the PABX utilizing the call back ID, the base station can complete the call.

    摘要: A wireless communication system (WCS) comprises a plurality of portable communication units (PCUs) (109) each PCU having a telephone number for receiving incoming calls. The WCS is coupled to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) (106), and has a plurality of locations (102) defined by radio coverage of a plurality of fixed communication units (FCUs) (108) at each location. The FCUs (108) are coupled to the PSTN, each FCU having at least one transceiver channel, and each transceiver channel having a telephone access number. The WCS further comprises a routing controller (RC) (104) for routing (514) incoming calls for PCUs, a location database (116) for storing (408) information used in the routing, and a plurality of location controllers (LCs) (110) each assigned an identification. One LC is at each location and is coupled to the FCUs thereat. The LCs communicate (304, 602, 604) with the RC and control (610, 612) the FCUs in response to messages (410, 412, 510) from the RC.

    摘要: A communication system base site (300) receives a signal (400) representing a request from a communication unit (200) to access the communication system (100). The signal includes an identification code (402) and another code which represents when the communication unit was authorized to access the communication system (410). The base site (300) operates to process the identification code (402) to initially determine that the communication unit (200) should not be permitted access to the communication system (100). Additionally, the other code (410) is processed to determine whether the communication unit (200) was authorized to access the communication system (100) within a time interval. If so, the communication unit (200) is permitted to access the communication system.
