摘要: A standardized mechanical interface (SMIF) pod for use in conjunction with SMIF systems is disclosed. The pod is utilized for transporting article, such as semiconductor wafers or the like, between locations such as SMIF processing stations. The pod includes a box having an open end and a box door which sealably engages and closes the open end. The box contains a removable carrier which seats on the box door and which has an open side for insertion and removal of the articles. The pod features a latching mechanism in the box door utilizing a star wheel with tips that rotate and extend out of slots in the box door into slots in the interior sidewalls of the box. The tips then move vertically downward to sealingly engage the box door to the box. The star wheel embraces a concentric cammed hub having angled cam surfaces engaged by cam follower pins extending radially inward from the star wheel. The star wheel is configured and positioned in the box door such that partial rotation rotates the tips from the interior of the box to extend outwardly of the slots. At the point of extension a stop further limits the rotation of the star wheel causing the cam followers to follow the cam surface as the cammed hub is further rotated moving the star wheel downwardly, thus causing engagement of the tips with the slots in the box and moving the box door downwardly to sealingly engage the box door with the box. A pair of one-way valves provide for purging of the interior of the pod. An alignment arm swingably pivots from the top inside of the box. The alignment arm has an engagement finger that engages the top of the carrier and a retaining portion that extends in from of the open side of the carrier. As the wafer carrier with the box door is raised into the box the finger engages the top of the carrier to swing the retaining portion in front of the open side of the carrier to hold the wafers in place. The alignment arm swings by way of a flexible portion eliminating scraping or rubbing of parts.

摘要: A strong and rigid carrier of substantial size fabricated of melt processible plastic for flat glass panels being processed for use in flat panel displays. The carrier has a pair of light weight but rigid and strong end walls in confronting and spaced relation to each other. Each end wall has a periphery thereabout and central ribs with an inclined panel adjoining the central ribs and traversing the height of the central ribs. Outwardly extending mounting flanges adjoin the periphery with a multiplicity of annular bosses protruding inwardly from the flanges. Large openings are in the end walls to allow machine and fluid processing access to the glass panel within the carrier. The carrier has a front open side and two sidewalls in confronting and spaced relation. The sidewalls each have a multiplicity of elongate sidewall segments each preferably being tubular and oblong in cross section or having portions which extend transversely and obliquely of the peripheries of each end wall. This construction further adds strength and rigidity to the carrier. The sidewall segments have end portions that extend to and are welded to the adjacent annular bosses of the adjacent end wall flanges. The side wall segments also have glass panel supporting and spacing ribs facing inwardly. A back wall is provided having a multiplicity of melt processible plastic tubular rails in spaced relation from each other, each extending between and welded to the adjacent annular bosses of the back wall flanges to confine the glass panels witin the carrier.

摘要: The present invention is a foam soap dispenser (10) for push operation. The dispenser (10) houses a product bottle (18 and 18′), and the dispenser (10) includes lock-out members (12a and 12b) while the product bottle (18 and 18′) includes mating lock-out members (19a, 19b, and 19′) to ensure that the correct product is used with the dispenser (10). The dispenser (10) includes a push handle (13) that pivots on a pivot point (16) to dispense product when the push handle (13) is compressed. Pushing the push handle (13) moves the handle lever assembly (25 and 25′) components, which in turn activates a product outlet (23) to dispense the product. As the handle (13) is being compressed and released, a gap (22) is created and an anti-pinch member (14) helps prevent pinching of the hand.

摘要: Apparatus identifying an instrumentality such as a person's hand or an article of merchandise, wherein the instrumentality carries a tag incorporating a transponder generating and transmitting a radio frequency identification signal in response to a radio frequency transmitted inquiry, a nest comprising an identifying station and incorporating a proximity sensor sensing the presence of the instrumentality at the identifying station and producing an indication of the presence or absence of the instrumentality, the identifying station comprising a radio frequency sensor portion generating a radio frequency transmitted inquiry transmitted to the transponder in response to sensing the presence of the instrumentality and receiving the radio frequency identification signal from the transponder, the proximity sensor terminating generation of the radio frequency transmitted inquiry when a clear and reliable output indication identifying the tag has been produced, and the proximity sensor also preventing, after producing a clear and reliable output indication, generation of a subsequent radio frequency transmitted inquiry until the proximity sensor has subsequently produced indications of the absence of the instrumentality at the identifying station.

Each wafer holder has an open side for receiving and releasing wafers, a closed side with a support portion for supporting the wafer holder in the container. A pair of resilient arcuate arms, each with seating portions and manipulation arms, extend more than 180.degree. around the wafer for retaining the wafers in any orientation.
