    摘要: A joint for connecting a corrugated pipe to another member includes a cylindrical body having an annular step portion formed in its inner part and adapted to be brought into contact with a front end of a corrugated pipe; a chuck having an annular body which includes a forward end part of an inner diameter substantially equal to or slightly smaller than an outer diameter of the corrugated pipe and which exhibits elasticity by which the chuck can contract and expand in radially inner and outer directions, an engaging portion formed on an inner periphery of its forward end part for engaging an outer periphery of the corrugated pipe, and a locking portion formed on an inner periphery of its rearward end part, the chuck being engaged with the outer periphery of the corrugated pipe in the cylindrical body so as to be capable of moving the corrugated pipe into the cylindrical body integrally with the chuck; and a push cylinder having a counterpart locking portion formed on an outer periphery of its forward end part and adapted to be locked to the locking portion formed on the rearward end part of the chuck, the push cylinder being slidably fitted to an inner periphery of an end portion of the cylindrical body, the push cylinder being for pushing the chuck into the cylindrical body when the push cylinder is advanced.

    摘要: A double-pipe pipe coupling comprises a socket provided with a socket main cylinder having a front end portion on which taper holes are formed, locking balls housed in the taper holes and a sleeve on the outer periphery of the front end portion of the socket main cylinder. The plug is provided with a plug main cylinder on which an annular groove is formed. The socket has a cylindrical slide ring and a collar cylinder arranged coaxial to each other, and first and second passages and defined by the side ring and the collar cylinder. The slide ring includes a stopper for stopping the sliding of the slide ring in the axial direction of the socket main cylinder at a certain position and locking the movement of the sleeve when the slide ring advances and a valve member serving to seal the front end of the plug when the plug is connected into the socket. The plug includes a plug main cylinder, a partition wall formed integral with the plug main cylinder and located inside the plug main cylinder and at a position which corresponds to the collar cylinder of the socket, and first and second passages and which are partitioned by the partition wall. First and second slide valves are arranged in the first and the second passage.

    摘要: A pipe coupling comprises a socket having a ball valve in which a through bore having one end that allows insertion of a plug is formed and a casing supporting the ball valve for rocking motion. The casing has a slot extending from its flank to the top. The slot has a flank opening and a top opening. The flank opening is wider than the top opening. A lock element is located for movement in the through bore of the ball valve. When the one end of the through bore of the ball valve is aligned with the flank opening, the lock element advances into the flank opening, thereby preventing the ball valve from rocking. When the lock element is pushed into the through bore of the ball valve by the plug, it is disengaged from the flank opening, whereupon the ball valve is allowed to rock.

    摘要: A pipe connector comprises sockets each having a rear cylindrical member connected to an associated one of first pipes, plugs each having a plug body connected to an associated one of the second pipes, and a locking mechanism, provided on each socket, for locking the associated plug. The pipe connector further comprises an inner cylindrical member having a plurality of housing sections for housing the rear cylindrical members, and a coupling portion for coupling the housing sections, and a main cylindrical member, extending in the axial direction of the housing sections, for movably containing the housing sections. The coupling portion and the main cylindrical member have a pair of holes formed to correspond to each other, one of the pair of holes having a tapered surface inclined with respect to the axial direction. The other of the pair of the holes contains a cam member. When the plug body is locked to the associated socket by the locking mechanism, the cam member is externally driven to cooperate with the tapered surface, thereby moving the main cylindrical member and the inner cylindrical member relative to each other in the axial direction of the housing sections and bringing the plug body and rear cylindrical member into contact with each other in the axial direction thereof.

    摘要: An apparatus for connecting two double vacuum pipes for conducting cryogenic fluid consists of a tubular connecting mechanism connected to the outer tube of a double vacuum pipe by a tubular member, a one-touch locking mechanism connected to the outer tube of the other double vacuum pipe by another tubular member inserted in the first-mentioned tubular member, a warming chamber defined between both tubular members, valve mechanisms respectively provided between the tubular members and the inner tubes of the double vacuum pipes which valve mechanisms cooperate to close the inner tubes of the respective double vacuum pipes at the closed position so as to make the inner tube of one of the double vacuum pipes communicate with the warming chamber during the connection of both the double vacuum pipes and to cause the inner tubes of both double vacuum pipes to communicate with each other. During the connection of both double vacuum pipes, cryogenic liquid is introduced in the warming chamber to be evaporated and its temperature is raised to avoid generation of frost on the to-be-connected portions of the double vacuum pipes. A one-touch locking mechanism provides quick connection and disconnection of the double vacuum pipes.
