The elastic container changes between first and second shapes to move the mating side toward and away from the communication component.

摘要： A connector includes a housing, a contact, an angled interface, and a resilient member. The contact is disposed in the housing and includes a mating end and an interface end. The angled interface includes a sliding surface that is oriented at an oblique angle with respect to the longitudinal axis. The resilient member is coupled with the contact and the housing and is configured to apply a force to the contact in a direction that is angled with respect to the longitudinal axis. The mating end of the contact engages a conductive element of a mating connector and the interface end of the contact slides along the sliding surface of the angled interface when the contact is moved in a mating direction toward the conductive element. The angled interface translates movement of the contact in the mating direction into lateral movement across the conductive element.

摘要： A connector assembly includes a cable, a connector and a resistance weld. The cable includes a conductor and a cable shield. The connector includes a contact and a shield. The shield includes conductive walls and a cradle. The walls extend from a mating interface to the cradle and at least partially surround the contact to shield the contact from electromagnetic interference. The mating interface is configured to receive a mating connector to mate the connector and mating connector. The cradle includes sidewalls interconnected by a coupling wall. The sidewalls and coupling wall extend from a loading interface toward the mating interface and are shaped to receive the cable through the loading interface. The resistance weld is between the cable shield and the cradle to electrically couple the shield to the cable shield. The shield is electrically connected to the electrical ground by the resistance weld and the cable shield.

The shell contact member is electrically connected to the shell. Each ground contact member is electrically connected to a corresponding one of the ground shields of the receptacles.
