摘要： A speed control for an electric motor comprising a capacitor interconnected in series with the main windings of the motor and a multi-position speed selector switch for selectively energizing one or more series connected main windings of the motor and, in a slow speed mode of operation, for serially connecting the capacitor to the series connected main windings so that the motor operates at a slower speed.A method of speed control for an electric motor is also disclosed.
