摘要： A heel insert adapted to cooperate with a stiffener shank and serving to reduce the amount of plastic material necessary to mold the heel of a high-heel shoe. The insert is preferably formed of polystyrene and is defined by a hollow, heel-shaped body having an open top which is adhered to an inner sole, the front wall of the body having a niche therein which when the heel is molded about the insert, is filled with plastic material to lock the insert within the heel. A recessed seat is formed at the upper end of the niche to receive the end of a stiffener shank which extends along the undersurface of the inner sole.

摘要： A tamper-proof bottle closure, the bottle being provided with a neck or other outlet having an external threading. Cooperating with the neck is an internally threaded screw cap, the cap having a radial slot occupied by a flexible strip, one end of which is anchored at the center of the cap, the other end having a dependent latching tooth which normally lies against the inner surface of the cap within a gap in the internal threading. The external threading on the neck is provided with a breach within which the latching tooth lies when the cap is fully closed, whereby unscrewing of the cap is prevented by the tooth. However, by lifting the strip to raise the tooth above the breach and simultaneously turning the cap, one may unscrew the cap from the bottle to obtain access to its contents.

摘要： A self-sufficient finger-nail treatment salon in which the user is supplied with bottles of nail polish, nail-working tools, and means to illuminate the nails with light rays simulating the environmental conditions under which the nails will be exposed. The salon includes a console housing a bulb whose rays are selectively filtered to provide the desired illumination, and a blower drawing air heated by the bulb and directing it through an open-ended duct whose upper wall serves as a work counter for applying polish to the nails, the heated air discharged from the duct being used to dry the applied nail polish.
