    摘要: Selective passive address resolution protocol (ARP) learning can provide a passive mechanism to synchronize link layer adjacency information among network elements. Selective passive ARP learning can be implemented by a modification to the ARP requests processing of the standby node, with a filter list containing a set of match rules for target network addresses. The implementation, thus, can be a configurable filter that enables software modules to specify a set of internet protocol (IP) addresses that the ARP input engine should monitor.
