Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for asynchronous multimedia content retrieval, which can be applied to TV-Anytime standard or MPEG standard. In summary, an asynchronous multimedia retrieval method is provided as including: a client establishing the first session as requesting to the server; transmitting to the server the retrieval inquiry message for contents that the server needs; terminating the first session after the retrieval inquiry; establishing the second session and requesting to the server the result for the retrieval inquiry at a certain point in time that the previously set time has passed; and receiving the retrieval result from the server and terminating the second session.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method or an operation for providing a personalized TV-Anytime metadata service. According to an embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method of providing a table field element using a get_Data operation in the TV-Anytime metadata service. In the table field element provision method, a requested fields type element (RequestedFieldsType) required to designate a field of a metadata table is included in a query result value type in the SOAP query operation. A request message of the SOAP query operation is received. When the request message includes the requested fields type element for designating the query result value, a query result value corresponding to the table field designated from the requested fields type element included in the request message is extracted, and the query result value is transmitted using a response message of the SOAP operation.

Abstract:
Provided is a method for servicing queried contents using a Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) operation. The method includes transmitting a request message of a SOAP query operation to which a request element field type is added in order to request various content searches through a complex operation, and extracting a query result expression value corresponding to a table field designated in the request field type element, and adding the extracted query expression value to a query result element to transmit the added value by a response message of the SOAP operation, when the request message includes the request element field type designating a query request result value. The method sorts and/or groups the query results of contents according to the extraction order of queried contents by adding operators associated with an arithmetic operation and/or a comparison operation to a query request field of a SOAP query operation upon query request of contents, thereby servicing the more various accurate query results of contents. Accordingly, the method services the more various accurate query results of contents on the basis of users preference information to users, thereby increasing convenience for users.
Abstract:
An object priority order compositor for an MPEG-4 player having a drawing node list generator including an object priority order register, a drawing node extractor, a field-node extractor, and an object priority order manager including an object rendering sequencer and an object instruction manager. The drawing node list generator makes a list by receiving a scene tree from a parser manager and extracting drawing nodes necessary for presentation on a screen from the scene tree by a depth first search. The object priority order manager handles insert, delete, and replace commands received from scene constitution information to determine priority order of an object. The object priority order compositor performs presentation of objects based on a priority order for objects when a scene change, in which an object is inserted, deleted, or replaced in real time by user interaction, as required in an MPEG-4 scene of high capacity multimedia objects.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method or an operation for providing a personalized TV-Anytime metadata service. According to the present invention, there is provided a method of transmitting non-anonymous user metadata to a TV-Anytime service agent using a SOAP operation, comprising the steps of a) defining a SOAP operation which transmits user metadata and is capable of identifying transmission of non-anonymous user metadata, b) the service agent identifying a user, c) a client loading user metadata about the identified user on an element of the SOAP operation defined at step a) and transmitting the element with the user metadata to the service agent, and d) the service agent identifying the element of the SOAP operation transmitted at step c) and extracting the user metadata included in the element of the SOAP operation therefrom.

Abstract:
There are one or more pre-parsers for extracting one or more components from integrated document in a network system comprised of at least one terminal, a server, and at least one repeater, where the pre-parsers are installed in one or more of the terminal, the server, and the repeater. The server may create a primary SADL integrated document and transmit it to the terminal or the repeater. And, the repeater may transmit secondary SADL integrated document or the application, created by applying delivery context to the primary SADL integrated document to the terminal. The terminal may also apply delivery context to the primary SADL integrated document or the secondary SADL integrated document, thereby creating an application optimized for the terminal.
