Abstract: A method and device for browsing a web page in a terminal device are provided. The method includes generating a first value to verify whether the received web page is browsable using the terminal device, comparing the first value with a second value for the web page, the second value being received from a server and stored in the terminal device, and selectively browsing the web page based on the comparison result.
