摘要： Subject matter related to firearms is described. An adapter may include a channel that extends along an exterior of the adapter in a helical pattern. The helical pattern may be configured to advance the adapter into a complementary component based on a rotation of the adapter, the complementary component, or both. Based on the advancement of the adapter into the complementary component, a sidewall of the channel may be forced against a sidewall of a ridge of the complementary component. The channel may lock with the ridge based on a rotation of the adapter, a rotation of the complementary component, or a combined rotation of the adapter and the complementary component that is less than 180 degrees.
