摘要： Disclosed herein are diagnostic devices, kits, and methods for the detection of an active Staphylococcus infection in an individual. Utilizing a sample from the individual, antibodies specific for one or more Staphylococcus polypeptides are detected, where the detection of a threshold number of antibodies specific for one or more Staphylococcus polypeptides indicates the presence of an active Staphylococcus infection. Exemplary panels of Staphylococcus polypeptides that can be used with a high degree of specificity and sensitivity are disclosed.
