    摘要: A compact agricultural planter unit is provided for narrow row crops. The unit includes a pair of double disk furrow openers in combination with adjustable depth gauge wheels. The disks and wheels are carried by frame structure positioned between the wheels and are rotatably mounted on pivots located radially inwardly of the wheel peripheries. Manually adjustable structure for selecting the furrow depth or position of the gauge wheels relative to the disks extends slightly radially outwardly beyond the wheels.

    摘要: Locking structure for a harvester basket having an upper basket portion telescopingly received within a lower basket portion. Channel lock-ups are located at three of the four corners of the basket. Each lock-up includes two channels, one channel having a length equal to the extension length of the upper basket portion and the other half that length. The two channels are connected together by a pivot pin in the middle of the long channel. One end of the long channel is connected by a pivot pin to the basket and one end of the short channel is connected by a pivot pin to the top of the upper basket portion. As the upper basket portion is raised or lowered, the channels pivot about the middle of the long channel. Approaching the raised position, the upper portion of the long channel may be used as a lever to urge the upper basket to the final extended position. The upper channel portion is received against the upper portion of the short channel, and a quick-lock pin is inserted through the upper ends of the channels adjacent the upper edge of the basket to secure the basket in the telescoped position.

    摘要: Height sensing structure utilizing a pair of height sensing valves connected to height sensing shoes on two row harvesting units. The row harvesting units are transversely adjustable on support structure to accommodate different row spacings and to open up space between the units for service and inspection. The height control valves are connected by flexible conduit and a shuttle check valve to a lift cylinder, and interconnecting linkages between the height sensing shoes on adjacent units are eliminated so that the units may be freely adjusted. The shuttle valve assures that the height control valve sensing the highest ground condition controls the lift cylinder to prevent "digging in".

This processor software also receives input regarding field data and crop data, as well as feedback data from the sprayer regarding the material application. A GPS system on the prime mover allows for tracking the spraying operation, while a time stamp in the processor software tracks the timing of the spraying operation. This system thus allows for accurate accountability and traceability for the use of materials during the spraying operation.

An unloading conveyor and compacting augers are connected to and movable with the upper basket portion, and the compacting augers also serve to meter cotton during the dump cycle. Telescoping cotton conveying ducts are movable with the upper basket portion between retracted transport and raised field-working positions. Hydraulic circuitry includes valves for selectively controlling the basket telescoping and dump functions and the conveyor and compacting auger operations.

    摘要: Row unit support structure for a cotton harvester facilitating easy transverse adjustment of the row units on a support frame for servicing the units and/or changing the location of the units for differing row widths. The support frame includes a horizontal rail supported in generally cantilever fashion from the lift structure on the harvester, and individual row units are suspended for independent transverse adjustment on the rail by a roller assembly connected generally over the center of gravity of each unit. An additional roller attached at the upper rear of the unit runs on a second rail rearwardly and below the first rail to stabilize the unit. Removable pins lock each unit in position along the support frame. To adjust for different row widths or to move the units laterally for inspection or maintenance, the pins are removed and the units are rolled along the frame. The structure accommodates numerous combinations of row widths, including both narrow and more conventional widely spaced rows, and row capacities up to five rows while still providing good accessibility for inspection and servicing.
