摘要： A positive locking latch assembly for a hook having an open saddle. The latch assembly includes a latch body having a latch face and a pair of opposed sides. The latch body rotates between an open position and a closed position. A torsion spring urges the latch body toward the closed position. A lock plate retained within the latch body is movable between a locked and an unlocked position. A compression spring urges the lock plate toward the locked position. A tab extending from the lock plate extends into an opening in the latch face. A lip extending from the tab is manually movable to engage the latch face in order to retain the lock plate in an unlocked position.

摘要： A retaining pin assembly for a lifting system which includes a hook prong and a hook cam. The retaining pin assembly includes at least one lock arm assembly having a first end with at least one aperture which aligns with an opening through the hook cam and having an opposed second end with at least one aperture which aligns with an opening through the hook prong. A hook cam retaining pin has a head and has a shaft passing through the hook cam opening and the lock arm first end aperture, wherein the shaft has at least one groove therein parallel to the axis of the shaft. A retaining ring surrounds the hook cam shaft, the retaining ring having at least one inwardly extending tab received in the shaft groove in order to retain the pin in the lock arm. A recess in the lock arm receives the retaining ring therein.

The method includes designing a lift plan for a load including various equipment and a plurality of legs. A lift sensing and monitoring device is selected for each of the legs and connected thereto. An alert is generated if any tension value from the load data is greater than capacity.

摘要： A thimble mechanism for retention of a shackle in a wire rope loop termination. In one preferred embodiment, a thimble device is provided for a shackle having a pair of opposed legs with each leg having an end with a width smaller than a depth. The thimble device includes a thimble body having an external arcuate edge with a rope groove for receipt of a wire rope therein. A central opening extends through the thimble body with the central opening larger than the width but smaller than the depth of the shackle ends. A keyway is provided in the thimble body extending from the central opening to the arcuate edge of the thimble body.

摘要： A shackle with captured pin assembly. The shackle includes a pair of opposed legs. A first ear for one of the opposed legs includes an opening therethrough to receive a shackle pin. The second ear has an opening therethrough to receive the shackle pin and has an opening with a threaded portion. The shackle pin has a head, a threaded portion engageable with the threaded portion of the second ear opening, and a reduced diameter portion. The rotating retaining clip rotates about an axis parallel to the shackle pin between a locked and an unlocked position.
