摘要： An open mounting frame for use in a recessed lighting fixture is the subject matter. The open mounting frame supports the recessed lighting fixture in a fixture aperture formed in a ceiling. The frame has an annular base ring. The base ring is engagable with the lower surface of the ceiling. The frame includes a pair of spaced apart columnar uprights connected to the base ring. The uprights are diametrically opposed to each other. The columnar uprights are connected to each other by a bridge which is connected to the ends of the columnar uprights. A lock is connected to each of the uprights. The locks engage the upper surface of the ceiling to cooperate with the base ring to hold the frame in the aperture.

摘要： An invertible side insertion trap is designed to be inserted into an opening in an electrical box and to accommodate at least two different sizes of cable or wire depending on an orientation of the trap. The trap includes a base, a first arm and a second arm. The first arm extends from the base and includes a first mating portion for mating with a first side of the opening in the electrical box. The second arm extends from the base. The arms create a passage having a first width for permitting insertion of a first cable or wire size between the arms when the trap is oriented in a first orientation with the first mating portion aligned with the first side of the opening. The passage has a second width for permitting insertion of a second cable or wire size between the arms when the trap is oriented in a second direction with the first mating portion aligned with a second side of the opening.

摘要： A switch lock is provided including a lock plug rotatable by a key between two or more positions within a lock barrel, and a switch is associated therewith such that one switch pole is selectively placed in one or more positions by the plug. A visual switch position indicator includes a second switch pole in the switch with a power source connected thereto, and an LED visible from the lock forward end has its leads connected to a terminal for selective connection to a power source in response to the position of the lock plug. The LED leads are flexible, disposed in a groove in the rear face of the lock bezel, and pass through a space between the lock barrel and the opening in the mounting plate. The switch wires are fixed to a connector and are protected by a shrink tube over the switch.

摘要： An adapter box for attaching a low voltage lighting fixture to a low voltage track. The track has an insulator track body with a pair of parallel conductive wires mounted in the body. The body has a longitudinal web with a flange formed integral with each of opposed sides. A pair of opposed inwardly extending edges is formed integral with the flanges to provide an open space between the edges. The adapter box includes a pair of insulator housing halves secured to each other. Each housing half having a portion of each of a pair of mounting ears connectable to the track body at the opposed edges. The housing halves define a contact opening adjacent to the mounting ears. A pair of contacts is mounted in the housing halves for engaging in electrically conductive contact with the respective conductive wires in the body. A fixture wire is connected to each of the contacts. A contact separator is formed integral with one of said housing halves adjacent to the contact opening for holding the contacts apart. A wire guide assembly is mounted in the housing halves providing a conduit through assembled housing halves. A latch is mounted in one of the housing halves for selectively preventing the housing halves from rotating relative to the track body while the contacts are in electrically conductive contact with the respective parallel conductive wires.

摘要： A connector is securely mounted on the end of a low voltage track. The connector is electrically connected to a pair of spaced conductive wires in the tracks. The conductive wires are separated in an insulator body. The insulator body has a pair of opposed inwardly extending edges. The terminal includes a base having a pair of opposed resilient side walls. Each of the side walls defines in part a respective longitudinal receptacle groove. Each receptacle groove is parallel to the other groove. A cantilever tongue is formed integral with the side walls and is substantially parallel to the grooves. The tongue is positioned between the opposed edges of the insulator body. The tongue has opposed portions positioned under the inwardly extending edges of the insulator body. A connector belt is positioned in each of the receptacle grooves. Each connector belt receives a wire from the low voltage track. A fastener is mounted in each of the connector belts for securing a respective wire in its connector belt and provides an electrically conductive connection between the belt and the wire.
