摘要： A battery protection mechanism is provided within an electronic device. A door has a latch which fits into a latch retention-release mechanism in the base of the device. A spring under tension within a retention-release mechanism presses against the latch when the device is in a closed configuration. A foot attached to a button in the base of the device urges the door out of position upon depression or activation of the button.
