摘要： A disposable wipe impregnated with furniture polish or another surface treating liquid such as a hard surface cleaner or insect repellant is disclosed. The liquid is in the form of a dispersion which is a biliquid foam with a thickener, where the foam is structured as an oil-in-water complex. The dispersion has an oil portion having a polysiloxane and/or a hydrocarbon oil. There is also surfactant such as one nonionic surfactant and one polar surfactant. Water is also provided. The biliquid structure stabilizes the dispersion even with very low levels of surfactant, while the thickener retards migration of the impregnated liquid in response to gravity.

摘要： A liquid dispenser for dispensing a liquid from the rim of a toilet bowl such that a controlled, consistent amount of liquid is dispensed into each flush is disclosed. The liquid dispenser includes a bottle for holding the liquid, a base for holding the bottle and for providing a liquid feed conduit between the bottle and a dispensing plate, and a hook for suspending the base from the rim of the toilet bowl. The dispensing plate is integral with or attached to the base, and serves to distribute liquid from the feed conduit to a dispensing position on the upper surface of the dispensing plate where the liquid is contacted by flushing water from the toilet bowl. The dispensing plate has various configurations that assist in the distribution of the liquid to the dispensing position on the upper surface of the dispensing plate. In a preferred version of the liquid dispenser, the dispensing plate has capillary channels in its upper surface for distributing the liquid from the feed conduit to the dispensing position.

摘要： A range of novel biodegradable aqueous acid cleaning systems for removing limescale from surfaces, especially stainless steel and porcelain surfaces, wherein said system comprises a biodegradable aqueous acid system, said system having a pH of less than 7.0, said system comprising at least one of the following acids: i) iminodiacetic acid; ii) aspartic acid; iii) derivatives selected from N-alkyl, N-alkylaryl and N-cycloaliphatic derivatives of iminodiacetic acid; iv) derivatives selected from N-alkyl, N-alkylaryl and N-cycloaliphatic derivatives of aspartic acid; and v) C2-C10 polycarboxylic acids, said polycarboxylic acids containing a heteroatom in the main chain thereof, said heteroatom being selected from S, O and N; said system optionally comprising mixtures of said acids (i) to (v). The composition preferably comprises a surfactant to optimize the performance of said acid. Additional optional ingredients are selected from thickeners and co-builders and enzyme mixtures. There is also provided a method of removing limescale from surfaces employing such compositions.
