摘要: A golf club (2) includes a head (4), a shaft (6) and a grip (8). At least one siping groove (g1) is provided on a surface of the grip (8). The siping groove (g1) is bent in a direction (Dd) of a depth of the grip. A width (Wg) of the siping groove (g1) is set to be equal to or greater than 0.15 mm and is equal to or smaller than 1.5 mm. It is preferable that an opening edge (e1) of the siping groove (g1) should be bent. The width (Wg) is more preferably equal to or greater than 0.20 mm. The width (Wg) is more preferably equal to or smaller than 1.4 mm and is further preferably equal to or smaller than 1.3 mm. A depth (F1) of the siping groove (g1) is preferably equal to or greater than 0.5 mm and is preferably equal to or smaller than 3.5 mm.

The values at the Y-intercepts on the lines that are parallel to the line K and that pass the points of from T (2) to T (9), respectively, are defined as from b2 to b9, respectively, and the minimum value among the values at the Y-intercepts b2 to b9 is defined as bmin. Slope “a” of the line K is 0.04 or greater and 0.06 or less; every one of the b3, b4, b5, b6, b7 and b8 is smaller than b1; and the bmin is any one of b4 to b7. The value (b1−bmin) is 30 (N·m2) or greater and 40 (N·m2) or less, and the value (b9−b1) is 4 (N·m2) or greater and 15 (N·m2) or less. This shaft either has a high-strength straight layer and a hoop layer, or has a textile layer.

In a head toe side portion (1t) and a head heel side portion (1h) virtually sectioned by a vertical surface (VP) including a normal line (N) drawn from a head gravity point (G) to a face surface (2) in a standard state, a surface area (St) of the cover body (FR) covering the opening portion (O) included in the head toe side portion (1t) is made larger than a surface area (Sh) of the cover body (FR) covering the opening portion included in the head heel side portion (1h), and a weight (Wh) of the head heel side portion (1h) is set to 55 to 75% of the entire weight (W) of the head.

摘要: The invention prevents a resin member from being broken so as to improve durability. The invention provides a golf club head (1) in which at least a part of a crown portion (4) forming an upper surface of the head is formed by a resin member (FR) made of a fiber reinforced resin in which a fiber is oriented in a matrix resin. The resin member (FR) includes a one-way fiber reinforced resin layer in which the fiber is oriented in one direction, and a fiber intersection lamination portion which is laminated so as to differentiate a direction of the fiber. At least two one-way fiber reinforced resin layers which are adjacent in a thickness direction are intersected at an angle of 30 to 130 degrees of the fiber. Further, a compressive strength of the fiber of the one-way fiber reinforced resin layer which is arranged in an innermost side in the fiber intersection lamination portion is set to be equal to or more than 1.3 GPa.

In a head of a second aspect, a head body h1y or an adherend s1y has a recessed part 27y. In a head of a third aspect, an adherend s1 has a metal member 27 and an elastic member 29. The elastic member 29 has a peripheral part 29a directly or indirectly abutting on a side surface 31 of the metal member 27.
