    摘要: A lock structure of a connector includes a flexible lock arm, a lock engaging part and a releasing lever part. The flexible lock arm fixed to the second connector housing at a base end portion thereof is extended in a fitting direction of the connector. The lock engaging part provided at a distal end portion of the flexible lock arm is configured to be locked with a locking part provided in the first connector housing. The releasing lever part connected to the lock engaging part is extended along the flexible lock arm, and is configured to be rotated together with the lock engaging part around a pivot which is movable while releasing the lock. A thickness of the flexible rock arm is gradually decreased from the base end portion to the lock engaging part.

In particular, two opposing cut-off end surfaces (27b, 29b) of the two half top plate portions are chamfered, and a distance (L2) between the two outer ends of the lug portions (23) is determined slightly smaller that another distance (L1) between the two chamfered surfaces (31, 33 ) of the two half top plate portions.

    摘要: An end portion of a shielding layer is inserted between an inner tubular portion and an outer tubular portion of a shield ring by the use of a tubular pushing jig, and in this condition when a shield shell is inserted into the shield ring in a direction opposite to the direction of inserting of the shielding layer, the shield ring is pressed by the shield shell, so that a gap between the inner tubular portion and the outer tubular portion decreases, and the shielding layer is firmly held between the inner and outer tubular portions, thereby achieving a fixed condition of the shielding layer. Namely, the shield ring and the shield shell are fixed to the end portion of the shielding layer.

The assembly includes a false-assembly preventing structure (3Ba, 3Bb S1, S2) operative to prevent false-assembly of the internal and external connector housings at an initial mating. The lever is rotatable to push the cam projection to space the internal and external connector housings off.
