Abstract:
An optical carriage of scanner has a mirror assembly and a device assembly, the mirror assembly has a mirror mount, some mirror holder, and some supporters, and the device assembly has a chassis. In this invention, the mirror assembly and the device assembly are mechanically connected after separately formation. Further, to ensure correct shape of these mirror holders and these supporters, they could be formed by metal punch, plastic ejection, or plastic process.
Abstract:
A calibration method of an image scanning system is provided. Initially, differences between adjacent sensing values of a calibration plate are respectively determined and then stored in a memory. Alternately, a difference between a base value and each of the sensing values of the calibration plate is determined and then stored in the memory. When a normal scan action is executed, simultaneously reading each difference from the memory and adding to one corresponding sensing value of image information of an object obtained by the normal scan action. As a result, the memory volume for storing calibration data is reduced and the reading of calibration data is also facilitated.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a calibration method and circuit for outputting an average calibration value used in an image-capture apparatus. The calibration circuit comprises difference means accepting a plurality of digital signals from capturing a pixel of a calibration chart. The difference means is for operating each digital signal with subtracting a base value, and whereby filters any aberrant digital signal. Divider means accepts the digital signals for operating each digital signal with dividing a number of scanned times, and whereby prevents an operation of any signal from overflowing. Direct average means accepts the digital signals for summing the digital signals and then divides the number of scanned times, and whereby speeds a calibration operation.
Abstract:
Apparatus for simultaneously resetting and reading-out in a linear CMOS sensor and a plurality of photocells therein is provided to comprise enabling circuits that each is for simultaneously enabling a first switch device and a second switch device. The first switch device on a bypass of an access from the photocell to the second switch device and the second switch device on a access for the photocell to a common bus. A method for simultaneously resetting and reading-out in a linear CMOS sensor of a scanner comprises providing a plurality of photocells arranged in a row. The each photocell has an access to a common bus controlled by a corresponding first switch device and has a bypass of the access controlled by a corresponding second switch device. The second switch device of the first photocell is enabled to be reset, at the same time the first switch device of the second photocell that is next to the first photocell in the row is enabled to be read-out.
Abstract:
An apparatus of linear staggered sensors. The scan comprises a first sensor and a second sensor. The first sensor is laterally offset from the second sensor, the sensors comprises a plurality of charge coupled devices, wherein the each of charge coupled device comprises a photosensitive zones and a non-photosensitive zones, the charge coupled devices of the sensors are linear arrangement; and the first sensor is abutting with the second sensor, wherein the first sensor is abutting place with the second sensor is the non-photosensitive zones.
Abstract:
An apparatus for capturing a document with a plurality of compression models comprises an image-processing system and an image-capturing system. The image-processing system is for accepting a request of setting the compression models for the document and processing the data of the document according to the compression models, wherein the request is from an exterior electric device connected to the apparatus. The image-capturing system is for capturing the data of the document, and is connected to the image-processing system and comprises multitudes of optic devices. The method for capturing the document with these compression models comprises accepting a request of setting the compression models for the document; capturing the data of the document; and processing the data of the document with these compression models.
Abstract:
Apparatus for projecting a display interface on a remote screen comprises a means such as scanning device for capturing the display interface comprising a visual pointer appearing on the remote screen. The visual pointer is positioned to reference a subject portion of the display interface and produced by a pointer device. The apparatus comprises another a means such as a projector for projecting display content on the remote screen according to the capturing means. The display content is corresponding to the subject portion of the display interface and directly displayed after the scanning of capturing means.
Abstract:
A method for capturing images useful in a scanning system is provided. The present method comprises performing a preview scan of a picture and then displaying the preview image of the picture on a screen. Selecting a scanning area of the preview image and simultaneously performing a first normal scan of the picture from an initial scanning position relative to the picture. When the scanned area of the first normal scan corresponds to the selected scanning area, the scan image produced by the first normal scan is displayed. Otherwise, a second normal scan of a portion of the picture that corresponds to the selected scanning area is performed to produce a final scan image.
Abstract:
A document-loading panel structure for scanner is characterized that a document-loading panel of scanner and an up housing are made of a transparent acrylic material or the like by integral molding; and a chart is either printed or attached on the up housing, a document cover, and/or the document-loading panel.
Abstract:
An apparatus in a linear complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor sensor for dark calibration comprises a plurality of exposure control devices used for controlling corresponding a first electrical access to a photocell and located between the corresponding photocell and in common a voltage line. In the present invention, the exposure control devices comprise on/off switches that can enable and disable the first electrical accesses. The apparatus is applied with a method for dark calibration of a scanner with a linear sensor. The method comprises disabling a plurality of electrical connections between a plurality of corresponding photocells and in common a voltage line in said linear sensor, and thereafter exposing said photocells.
