    摘要： Street runoff or storm sewage is measured and solids are separated from the liquid first by a grit chamber and screen. Remaining solids are ground by a comminutor, and the fluid is pumped into large temporary storage tanks. The elongated low profile and wide storage tanks are preferably submerged in a body of water, and while sewage is in the tanks, air is continually bubbled upward through the tanks. When excess runoff has ceased, the storm sewage is pumped from the temporary storage tanks and purified before releasing it into a permanent dispersion media, such as a volume of water.

    摘要： A partially submergible platform has internal separation tanks, which are provided with screens for removing solid materials from water. Skimmers remove a relatively light immiscible liquid before returning the water to the body from which it is taken. In one form of the invention, contaminated water is pumped upward into separation tanks, and gravity drains the separated water from the tank and vessel. In another embodiment, contaminated water flows into separation tanks, and purified water is pumped from the tanks, preferably rearwardly, for propelling the craft through the water. Gates form lower edges of intakes, so that the amount of water taken into the boat and the depth of the intake may be controlled.

    摘要： An underwater storage system collects waste, measures the collection and stores the waste in underwater storage tanks from whence the material is pumped when inlet measurement indicates the necessity. Automatic systems are provided for the storage of sewage waste during peak periods and in large flexible walled tanks having flat rectangular bottoms with horizontal oriented inlet and outlet means. When the peak systems are passed, the present invention provides automatic means to reintroduce the stored sewage into the sewage treatment system. The automatic waste, collection, storage and emptying systems and the flexible containers used in those systems have particularly useful application to sewage systems.

AN OUTLET OF THE TANK LEADS THROUGH A MOTOR-DRIVEN PUMP TO A DISCHARGE PORT IN THE SIDE OF THE BOAT. THE DISCHARGE PORT HAS A FITTING FOR SECURING A FLEXIBLE HOSE TO EMPTY THE STORAGE TANK INTO A SEWAGE DISPOSAL FACILITY.
