摘要： A tool for moving an abrasive media. The tool includes a tool body, a platen, a drive system and a retaining knob. The platen has an exterior platen surface and a knob aperture that is formed through the exterior platen surface. The drive system is housed in the tool body and configured to move the platen. The drive system includes an output member with a first threaded portion. The retaining knob is received through the knob aperture in the exterior platen surface of the platen. The retaining knob has a knob portion, which has an exterior surface, and an attachment member with a second threaded portion that is threadably coupled to the first threaded portion. The platen surface and at least a portion of the knob surface are co-planar. A related method is also provided.

摘要： An elongated pole pruner for cutting and trimming trees, bushes and the like having three separable sections, that when assembled, form an extended length pruner. The pole pruner includes a first section containing a handle and battery pack, a second extension section, and a third section that contains the purner itself. Each of the sections contains an electrical conductor that is attached to corresponding conductor in an adjacent pole sections via a male plug and female receptacle. In this way, the battery pack in the first section of the pole is able to deliver power through the second section to the pruner in the third section.

A retaining member can be disposed on the tool body. A first platen having a first attachment hub can be selectively coupled with the retaining member in an installed position. The first platen can have a first rotatable member that selectively attaches to the output member in a first mode of operation. A second platen having a second attachment hub can selectively couple with the retaining member in an installed position. The second platen can have a second rotatable member that selectively attaches to the output member in a second mode of operation.

摘要： A portable, hand-operated trimmer has a head module that is removably connected to a power control module. The head module has a power head enclosing an electric motor that is operatively connected to a trimming blade. The power head is selectably settable in a plurality of angular positions with respect to a head support, including a neutral position representing 0 degree rotation, 45 degree flexion and dorsiflexion positions, and 90 degree flexion and dorsiflexion positions. The power head also encloses a stator cartridge that is connected to the housing of the power head by a plurality of fastening members. The head support rotates about the stator cartridge and is engaged by way of a movable engagement pin that is received within a selected recess defined in the stator cartridge. The power head housing and stator cartridge further define molded sockets to receive corresponding pivot arms of the head support. An O-ring is disposed about one of the pivot arms to dampen free rotation. The power control module provides power to the power head through a removable rechargeable battery or through direct connection to conventional household power.

The adjustment mechanism couples the fastener guide to the leg on a side of the leg opposite the housing. The adjustment mechanism is configured to vary a distance between the groove and a rotational axis of the output member.
