Abstract: A stream of molten slag is produced. A preferably hydraulic binder powder which is compatible with the molten slag is added to the stream in a predetermined proportion therewith. The molten slag is blasted together with the binder powder added thereto to form mineral wool fibers provided with the binder. The mineral wool fibers provided with the binder are combined in a web.
