    摘要: An electrical connector is provided, capable of exerting a sufficient clamping force on a flat cable to reliably provide electrical conductivity while the connector is low-profile. The connector includes a contact having a base, a contact beam, and a pressing arm. The pressing force of a cam of an actuator is transmitted to a base through the pressing arm. Thereby, lift of the base is restrained, and a flat cable is reliably clamped, thereby providing electrical conductivity. Also, elastic deformation of the pressing arm reduces the range of variations in the contact pressure of a contact arm of the contact beam caused by the variations in thickness, gap, dimension, and the like.

An upper surface of the electrical connector is covered with the shield plate and the shield shell, both of which are made of a conductive material, and the shield plate and the shield shell are connected to a grounding pattern on a printed wiring board for grounding. In addition, shield paths are formed in an open space between the shield plate) and the shield shell to divide the open space into left and right non-shielded areas and a central non-shielded area. The connector can be shielded with reliability from an electromagnetic wave produced by the connector itself or an external electromagnetic wave with the open space remaining.

    摘要: An electrical connector is provided, capable of exerting a sufficient clamping force on a flat cable to reliably provide electrical conductivity while the connector is low-profile. The connector includes a contact having a base, a contact beam, and a pressing arm. The pressing force of a cam of an actuator is transmitted to a base through the pressing arm. The arm sections (44) extend from the base section (42) received in the recess portion (22) in a state of being inclined with respect to the axial line of the insertion slot (14).     摘要: An electrical connector that alleviates limitations on a mounting position on a circuit board while maintaining a reduced height. The electrical connector includes a housing, a contact, and an actuator. The housing includes a front end and an opening into which a tip of a flexible printed circuit board having a connecting conductor at the tip is inserted. The contact is supported by the housing, and includes a solder connection portion exposed from the housing and a contact portion in a lower position in the opening to contact the connecting conductor of the flexible printed circuit board. The actuator is positioned in the housing, while a protrusion section, in the housing, adjusts upward a body portion of the flexible printed circuit board when inserted into the opening. The actuator is rotatable between an open position in which the tip of the flexible printed circuit board is allowed to be inserted into the opening and a closed position in which the connecting conductor at the tip of the flexible printed circuit board inserted into the opening is pressed against the contact portion.
