    Abstract: The present invention is one in which ultra-sonic energy is used to break down the muscle fibers in meat, thereby tenderizing the meat. The device is basically simple. The meat is placed between metal plates to which ultra-sonic transducers have been bonded. Electrical energy is transformed by the transducers into sonic waves, and the meat need only be subjected to this form of energy for a period of time.
