Abstract: The invention relates to a solar protection glazing comprising, on at least one of the faces of a glass substrate, a multi-layer stack comprising at least one layer absorbing solar radiation of at least 3 nm and dielectric coatings surrounding said solar radiation absorbing layer. According to the invention, the light reflection of the glass substrate coated with the multi-layer stack, measured on the substrate side, is at least 20% and is at least two times the light reflection of the glass substrate coated with the multi-layer stack measured on the stack side, and the reflection colour on the substrate side has a colorimetric coordinate value a* of less than 2 and a colorimetric coordinate value b* of less than 5. The invention is particularly useful as an automobile glazing, in particular on the roof thereof, as a building glazing or as a household oven.

Abstract: A laminated automotive glazing unit including two glass sheets joined by a thermoplastic interlayer sheet, a system of conductive layers applied to one of the sheets, and including on an edge of the same sheet a substantially opaque masking strip, making contact with the glass sheet, the system of conductive layers covering at least partially the masking strip. The glazing unit further includes busbars for supplying electrical power, the busbars making contact with the layer system in the portion covering the masking strip. The masking strip includes a set of layers that absorb visible radiation, the layers being formed by cathodic sputtering.

Abstract: The invention relates to an almost opaque decorative glass panel comprising a substrate made of a vitreous material bearing a multilayer stack including at least one light-absorbing functional layer and transparent dielectric coatings such that the light-absorbing functional layer is enclosed between dielectric coatings. The light-absorbing functional layer has a geometric thickness comprised between 25 and 140 nm, and an extinction coefficient k of at least 1.8. The multilayer stack in addition comprises at least one attenuating layer placed between the substrate and the light-absorbing functional layer, having a thickness comprised between 1 and 50 nm, having a refractive index n higher than 1 and an extinction coefficient k of at least 0.5. Furthermore, a transparent dielectric coating the optical thickness of which is comprised between 30 and 160 nm, and the refractive index n of which is higher than 1.5, is placed adjacent to the attenuating layer on the side opposite the light-absorbing functional layer. The invention provides a decorative panel offering a pleasant aesthetic effect.
