Abstract: The present invention relates to a glass for chemical strengthening, including: in terms of mole percentage based on oxides, 50% or more of SiO2; 0% to 10% of B2O3; 1% to 30% of Al2O3; 0% to 10% of P2O5; 0% to 10% of Y2O3; 0% to 25% of Li2O; 0% to 25% of Na2O; 0% to 25% of K2O; 0% to 10% of MgO; 0% to 10% of CaO; 0% to 10% of SrO; 0% to 10% of BaO; 0% to 10% of ZnO; 0% to 5% of ZrO2; 0% to 5% of TiO2; 0% to 5% of SnO2; and 0% to 0.5% of Fe2O3, in which a ratio (R2O/Al2O3) of a total content of Li2O, Na2O, and K2O to a content of Al2O3 satisfies the following Expression: 0.8≤(R2O/Al2O3)≤30.
