Abstract: An insulating support assembly for a catenary is adapted for powering an electrical vehicle. The assembly includes a base part adapted to connect the insulating support assembly to a section insulator of the catenary, a suspension insulator extending from the base part along a reference axis, and a suspension plate suitable to be hung to a supporting pole of the catenary. The suspension plate is connected to an upper part of and is movable relative to the suspension insulator.
