Abstract: A composition capable of preventing or improving skin aging by controlling a senescence biomarker of melanocytes is disclosed. The composition includes a thymol ester-based compound as an effective ingredient, whereby when applied to a subject in which skin cells are flattened or enlarged, or β-galactosidase of melanocytes is activated, it can exhibit the effect of preventing or improving skin aging.
