Abstract: A method includes receiving, at a processor of a network device, data packets to be communicated to a multicast destination. The method includes recording, with the network device, performance data associated with the data packets, where the performance data is associated with a performance metric. The method includes determining, with the processor, a trend based on the performance data. The method also includes sending a warning from the processor to a performance server based on the trend satisfying a condition.
