Abstract: A radio access network intelligent controller (RIC) can comprise a physical resource block (PRB) scheduler that can facilitate the streaming of videos. When a user equipment (UE) requests a video, the PRB scheduler can take into account channel quality data associated with the connection between the UE and a distributed unit of a base station. The PRB scheduler can also receive video stream rate information from a video server. Based on the video stream rate information and the channel quality data, the PRB scheduler can make a decision regarding what types of videos to facilitate streaming to the UE.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining a request for a communication service from a user equipment, based on the obtaining of the request, assigning a first identifier to the user equipment as part of the communication service, obtaining first data from the user equipment as part of the communication service, analyzing at least the first data in accordance with at least one algorithm to determine that the user equipment is likely misconfigured in an amount that is greater than a threshold, resulting in a determination, based on the determination, mapping the first identifier to a second identifier associated with the user equipment, generating a message based on the mapping, and transmitting the message. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Misconfigured user equipment (UE) can cause additional traffic generation to server devices (e.g., 911 server device) and overload the server devices. Thus, detecting these UEs and blocking them before they hit the application servers in the mobility network can be facilitated via an identification and blocking approach. The system can comprise an identification correlator that can correlate S1 interface application protocol identification (S1-APID) associated with the UE to an international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) of the UE. When the identification correlator collects data feeds from a network, the identification correlator can share this data with a call data record engine to determine if the UE is a misconfigured UE and prompt the network core to drop/block the misconfigured UE from a communication.
