The barrel nut has a first engaging element portion and a first plain portion arranged alternatingly around a circumferential direction of the barrel nut. The male element has a cylindrical bolt-like shape and has a second engaging element portion and a second plain portion arranged alternatingly around a circumferential direction of the male element. The male element further has flattened sides at the second plain portion. The second engaging element portion of the male element is configured to engage with a respective one of the first engaging element portion of the barrel nut.

    摘要: An aircraft fuselage structure is disclosed herein and includes an outer skin, with circumferential ribs, such that a recess is provided for receiving a wing torsion box in the outer skin, and the ribs are interrupted in the region of the recess. An object of the disclosure includes providing an aircraft fuselage structure designed such that the wing torsion box is able to extend at least partially through the upper region of the fuselage, without the stability of the fuselage being significantly reduced. This can include providing first longitudinal members which are adjacent to the recess and which extend along the longitudinal edges beyond the entire length thereof. End regions of the first longitudinal members are connected to ribs which extend circumferentially at intervals from the transverse edges of the recess along the outer skin over the vertical longitudinal central plane.

    摘要: A method for joining two substantially planar fiber-composite structural components, includes stacking the two components on a support jig to overlap along a joining region. A lower component end section within the joining region borders a gap between the upper component and the jig, where the upper component is unsupported by the jig. The gap is bordered on an opposite side of the lower component end section by a filling portion of the upper component or a planar filler element supported by the jig. The lower component is joined to the upper component within the joining region by applying temperature and pressure to the components. A width of the gap allows the upper component to elastically deform along the gap under the pressure and bend down into the gap to abut the jig along the gap and thereby compensate thickness tolerances between the components during the pressure application.
