    Abstract: A method for activating an application function includes obtaining an activation instruction sent by a user within a blank space accessible to the user on an application interface and activating at least one application function according to the activation instruction. The method allows the user to send the activation instruction from within the blank space accessible to the user on the application interface and activate a corresponding application function, without the need of operating a preset function button as in existing technologies. The technical solution is not limited by application scenarios and has a higher flexibility thus facilitating a convenient and rapid activation of a corresponding function and improving the convenience for the user to use application functions.
