Abstract: An omnidirectional electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device can perform operations associated with a combination of inputs that can, in some cases, be recognized irrespective of the position or orientation in which they are made. The inputs can include, for example, single or multi-touch gestures, presses, swipes, rotations, characters and symbols. In one embodiment, an omnidirectional media player can perform media operations associated with a combination of inputs that can be recognized irrespective of the position or orientation in which they are applied relative to an input area of the media player.
