Abstract: This disclosure relates to a process for producing treated AM/AV fibers comprising treating, with an alkali composition, base AM/AV fibers comprising a polymer composition comprising a polymer and an AM/AV compound to form treated AM/AV fibers. The treated AM/AV fibers demonstrate a Klebsiella pneumonia log reduction greater than 1.5, as determined via ISO20743:2013.
