Abstract: The present invention relates to an airbag device for a vehicle. The airbag device comprises: an airbag cushion which is formed in a shawl shape and deployed toward both sides of a passenger so as to wrap and restrain the entire upper body around both shoulders of the passenger when a vehicle collides; and an inflator for generating gas and supplying the gas to the airbag cushion in response to an impact detection signal when the vehicle collides. Accordingly, when a vehicle collides, the shawl-shaped airbag cushion installed on the back of a seat is inflated and deployed to restrain the both sides and front area of the upper body of a passenger around both shoulders of the passenger, thereby safely protecting the passenger.

Abstract: A far side airbag apparatus for a vehicle for installation at a side of a frame of a backrest of a seat directed toward an inner center portion of the vehicle such that the far side airbag is expanded and deployed between at least two backrests arranged widthwise along the vehicle. The far side airbag includes an inner part directed toward an occupant seated in a direction opposite to a collision side of the vehicle upon vehicle collision and an outer part directed toward the inner center portion of the vehicle upon vehicle collision. When a vehicle collision occurs, for example, when a side inclination collision of the vehicle occurs, the occupant seated in opposition to the collision side of the vehicle may be prevented from abruptly moving toward the front portion and the inner center portion of the vehicle out of the protection range of the far side airbag. Thus, collision between occupants seated on a driver seat and an occupant seat can be effectively prevented.

Abstract: A far-side airbag device of a vehicle includes an airbag which is unfolded upon inflation between at least two backrests arranged in the width direction of the vehicle and includes an inner panel facing a passenger and an outer panel facing the central axis of the vehicle at the time of inflation. The far-side airbag device includes a rotation preventing bracket for pressing the rear end of the airbag to prevent the airbag from rotating about the rear end of the airbag by an impact from the passenger at the time of collision of the vehicle, so that it is possible to increase a restraining force for preventing the passenger from moving toward the inside of the vehicle by preventing the airbag from rotating about a fastening portion on the rear end by the impact applied from the passenger due to the collision of the vehicle.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a vehicular airbag device provided with a configuration comprising: an airbag cushion which is formed in a shawl shape so as to surround and restrict the entire upper body around both shoulders of an occupant as well as the abdominal and pelvic regions in the event of a vehicle collision, and deployed toward both side surfaces of the occupant; and a limiting means which is installed in first and second cushions of the airbag cushion deployed at both sides of the occupant, and provides a supporting force and limits the deployment shape of the first and second cushions at the time of deployment of the first and second cushions. According to the present invention, both side surfaces and the front surface of the occupant are efficiently restricted by improving the lateral strength of the airbag cushion to safely protect the occupant in the event of a vehicle collision.

Abstract: Provided is a side impact airbag which is deployed between two seats in the width direction of a vehicle to thereby prevent passengers seated on the two seats from colliding with each other. The airbag is configured to, when being fully inflated, form recesses on both sides thereof to accommodate the shoulders and arms of the passengers, such that the fully inflated airbag is configured to be maintained in a certain posture by the pressure applied to the shoulders and arms of the passengers accommodated in the recesses.
