Abstract: PROBLEM Provided is a vehicle steering wheel device enabling miniaturizing an airbag module and also a miniaturized horn pad portion while ensuring a damping effect comparable to a conventional damping effect.
RESOLUTION MEANS Each damper 11 has a straight pin, a grip 19 provided at a first end is engaged to a central cored bar 8 through rotate operation around the pin axis, and a connecting tip end part 12a that connects to the module housing 6 is provided at the other end. A plurality of insertion holes through which the connecting tip end part is inserted are arranged in the module housing surrounding the outer edge of the inflator 7, and the connecting tip end part is formed with a constricted portion having an outer diameter smaller than the hole diameter of the insertion hole, and the connecting tip end part is connected to the module housing via a set spring supported by the module housing so as to engage the constriction.-

Abstract: A driver seat airbag device, provided with a steering wheel and an airbag module. The steering wheel includes a variant rim with a central upper part thereof omitted, and a cover member that covers the module installation surface at the center of the rim and the airbag module. The cover member includes a frontal region on an occupant side of the airbag module, an upper region on the upper side of the airbag module, and a tear line that enables the frontal region and the upper region to open up as cover doors. The tear line extends continuously from at least the center of the frontal region to at least the center of the upper region. The cover doors open to the left and right respectively from near the center of the frontal region and upper region.

Abstract: An airbag device for a driver's seat is provided with a variant steering wheel, and an airbag module. The variant steering wheel has a module mounting surface and a cover member. When the cover member receives the expansion pressure of a cushion, a cover door opens. The airbag module includes a cloth member that is put on the cushion. A front end side of the cloth member is connected to an inflator, and a rear end is a free end. The airbag module is in a state in which the cushion is in a stored state, the cloth member is put over the cover member side of the cushion, and the cloth member is held between the cover member and the cushion in the stored state.

Abstract: An airbag device installed in a steering wheel of a vehicle and includes: a gas generator that is secured to the steering wheel and generates expansion gas; and an airbag cushion that is expanded and deployed by the expansion gas toward the occupant side. The airbag cushion includes an occupant side panel that faces an occupant when expanded and deployed, a steering side panel that is opposite the occupant side panel, and a side panel that connects both panels at the outer edge of the occupant side panel and the steering side panel. A recessed part is formed near the center of the occupant side panel with the airbag cushion in an expanded and deployed state. Abstract: A driver seat airbag apparatus includes a steering wheel and an airbag module. The steering wheel has a central hub and a rim. The rim has a shape in which a portion of the upper portion of the hub is omitted. The hub includes: a module housing part which houses the airbag module; and a cover which covers the module housing and is cleavable at the expansion pressure of the cushion. The cover includes cover doors which open at the expansion pressure of the cushion. When the cover is cleaved, the cover doors are open in the right and left diagonal upward directions when viewed from the center of the hub, while a space portion without the cover doors is formed in the direction directly above the center of the hub when viewed from the center of the hub.
