Abstract: An adhesive comprises a butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer and a resinous toughening agent such as vinyl chloride-acetate copolymer or chlorinated rubber or both. The adhesive may consist of (a) butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer, vinyl chloride-acetate copolymer, toluene, and methyl-isobutyl ketone, or (b) butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer, chlorinated rubber, vinyl chloride-acetate copolymer, clay, silica gel, mineral oil, and cyclohexanone.ALSO:An adhesive comprises a butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymer, chlorinated rubber, and, if desired, vinyl chloride-acetate copolymer. Fillers such as clay and silica gel, and a solvent such as a mixture of mineral oil and cyclohexanone may be added.
