Abstract: The invention refers to an apparatus 110 for generating a database for controlling a workflow of a production process. A providing unit 111 provides a graph database template indicative of predefined product data, wherein product data refers to information related to a product. A providing unit 112 provides shipping data of the product, wherein the shipping data refers to data generated in relation to a logistic process. An extraction unit 113 extracts predefined product data for the product from the shipping data. A generation unit 114 generates a graph database for the product by utilizing the graph database template filled with the extracted predefined product data. A generation unit 115 generates, based on the graph database for the product, a control signal for affecting the workflow of the production process referring to the product.
